I know it's only speculation, but the game strongly hints that Yeesha is responsible for Calam's death. As I recall, in her final imager in the Great Shaft she says: "...Did I ask to cause the death of Calam?". So I'm sure it's safe to assume that--to whatever degree--Yeesha is responsible, or feels as though she is, for his death.
Anybody got a problem with me adding this information? -- Cronodude 360
