Cercola is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Naples in the Italian region Campania, located about 9 km northeast of Naples. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 19,232 and an area of 3.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of Cercola contains the frazione (subdivision) Caravita.
Cercola borders the following municipalities: Massa di Somma, Naples, Pollena Trocchia, San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, Volla.
