My name is Michael Sue-Kam-Ling and I am a student at the University of Waterloo currently working towards my Bachelor of Applied Science in Honours Chemical Engineering. I am currently in my third year of studies out of five total. Thanks to the Cooperative Education program, I have had the pleasure of working for the university and recently completed a co-op placement at Environment Canada.

As far as Wikipedia goes, I prefer to contribute to subjects that are less popular because in that sense I have the most freedom and people don't interfere with my work. I have been mostly working on ice hockey related articles, as well as some music and University of Waterloo stuff.

I recently joined the Wikipedia Project for ice hockey but I only contribute sporadically. I have mainly helped with the application of the new ice hockey player infobox on a numerous number of players. I also attempt to remove POV statements about players, particularly "scouting reports" as they clearly have no encyclopedic purpose since encyclopedias aren't meant as scouting resources.

I have made it my mission to ensure that noteworthy and influential, yet less mainstream things receive the proper representation on Wikipedia. It is my belief that just because something isn't entirely mainstream, doesn't necessarily mean it isn't noteworthy. Thus I will keep fighting for the underdog. These are articles I have seen deleted from Wikipedia, sometimes with little explanation, because they were not deemed notable. Each of these articles is clearly due to the iron fist of the Wikipedia secret police to keep the man down and exercise their power.
- Hostage Life - A Toronto-based band that is played frequently on CFNY, one of the biggest rock radio stations in the world. They have also played large festivals like Wakestock, SCENE Music Festival and Warped Tour.
- Thankfully, Jeridus has rallied to this article's cause and for now it remains up.
- illScarlett - Another Toronto-based band, for more or less the same reasons as Hostage Life.
- Encyclopedia Dramatica - An internet wiki community that focuses on humour (similar, but strongly opposed to, slightly smaller and much funnier than Uncyclopedia).
- Arfenhouse - A clear internet cultural phenomenon that has a sizeable following.
Note: I will add to this list as more articles come to my attention.
Isn't it odd that these subjects aren't permitted to have one article yet subjects like Lost can have dozens upon dozens? Just because something doesn't have hundreds of thousands of drooling moronic fanboys doesn't mean it is notable.
