Crescent is a city in Logan County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,281 at the 2000 census.

Crescent is located at (35.953137, -97.594593)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.7 km² (1.1 mi²), all land.
Crescent is the hometown of Harlem Globetrotter Herbert "Geese" Ausbie. It is named after a bunch of trees that were in the shape of a crescent moon where the town is now established. The mayor is James Lowe and the Chief of Police is Frank Defuentes. There are two stop lights in the same intersection of town. There are several churches, gas stations, nursing home, bank (Farmers and Merchants), a grocery store (Hometown Foods), and a public school. There is fast food such as Taco Mayo and Subway available. Dollar General also has an establishment. Crescent Public Schools graduating class averages about 40 members. The mascot is the Tiger. The 1990 football team won the State Championship. 4th of July celebrations have brought outsiders to Crescent for several years.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 1,281 people, 562 households, and 361 families residing in the city. The population density was 466.6/km² (1,206.2/mi²). There were 639 housing units at an average density of 232.8/km² (601.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 88.52% White, 4.68% African American, 2.58% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.47% from other races, and 3.67% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.95% of the population.
There were 562 households out of which 29.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.8% were married couples living together, 10.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.6% were non-families. 33.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.90.
In the city the population was spread out with 25.1% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 23.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 93.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $25,096, and the median income for a family was $32,206. Males had a median income of $25,602 versus $21,121 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,081. About 13.2% of families and 16.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 21.4% of those under age 18 and 9.8% of those age 65 or over.
