Croatia competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. The team of included 80 athletes in 14 sports, 30 members of expert teams, six Olympic Mission members, as well as three doctors and seven physiotherapists, organized by the Croatian Olympic Committee.
The flag of Croatia at the opening ceremony was carried by noted water polo player Dubravko Šimenc, who participated in three previous Olympic Games and won two medals, as well as various other medals in other tournaments.
The flag of Croatia at the closing ceremony was carried by noted rower Siniša Skelin, who won a silver medal on these Olympic Games and participated in the two previous Olympic Games and won one other medal.
