Hong Sung Mi (Hangul:홍성미, born on 17 July 1986), better known as DANA, is a Korean singer. Although originally a solo singer on SM Entertainment, she has since become a member of girl group TSZX. Contrary to popular belief, DANA is not the leader of TSZX. DANA stated in an interview that TSZX does not have a leader and that each member has an equal status in the group.

[edit] Career
Starting off as a solo artist on Lee Soo Man's SM Entertainment label, DANA was expected to rise as the "next BoA". Prior to debut, she received promotion as an actress in popular boyband H.O.T's Age of Peace movie and in Kangta's "Polaris" music video.
In 2001 she released her fairly successful first single "Diamond", a pop/dance track featuring Jung YunHo (who would eventually become the leader of TVXQ). That same year, she released an album with the same name along with other singles. Her career blossomed and continued with promotion by appearing on variety shows such as X-Man, as well as plying a main role in the sitcom Nonstop. Her second album release in 2003, however, was not very popular and sold poorly. From that point on, DANA disappeared from the music industry (aside from SMTOWN collaborations) until the debut of TSZX.
Since 2005, DANA has been a member of Korea a cappella girl group TSZX (now known as TSZX the Grace). For the group's fourth Japanese single, she composed the music to her own solo song "Sayonara No Mukou Ni."
