I was browasing some of the news articles on here and some of the sources cite a refererance "Depot Hill Media". Now i searched and we don't currently have a page for this, and i think a page should be created as it is a notable news source. And you being an established user is aware of all polcies that i have no clue on lol. So if you can let me know and i can aid you if possible. Darknesslord, I just discovered that this "Depot Hill Media" that Mgarnes2 just happened to stumble upon is a blog that is maintained by, among other people, Mgarnes. I am in the process of removing the places where he inserted this blog as a resource into articles. It existed about a dozen times as links from here and all of them appear to be added by Mgarnes2. All the "news" that are in the links seem to be copied from other news sources such as this one which clearly has the AP copyright at the bottom or this one which is also AP, or this one that's from MSNBC. Just thought you should be aware that Mgarnes2 attempted to dupe you up there. Metros232 21:02, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

I apologize if you feel I was rude and wronged Mgarnes2 in any way. I think aside from this reply I was fairly lenient with him. A more stringent/cold-hearted admin more than likely would have considered a block on the spot or something of the likes. I admit that diff was kind of mean, but I was hoping that by saying that, he'd get the hint and leave it be. He seemed to wish to go down as a martyr, as if we had totally wronged him and he was always in the right. This was absolutely frustrating to me as I discovered more and more of how his actions all related in some way. He denied having anything to do with the website to you a few threads up, saying he just discovered it on his own that day when, in reality, he had added about 8 links for it in various other articles on Wikipedia the month before that.

I apologize if you think that I was out of line, but I hope that for a second you can see the frustrations Mgarnes2 has caused of his own device. Thanks mom, Metros232 00:21, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

As a current Adopter with the Adopt-a-User program there has been some ongoing developments that we would like to bring to your attention.

A new Adopter's Area has been created where you can find useful resources and other Adopter's experiences. Please feel free to add any resources you may have found useful as an Adopter, as well as recount any experiences that you think may help others. If you know of any useful resources for new users / Adoptees then you can add them here.

Also the way the adoption process works has changed slightly. To decrease workload at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user, on offering adoption please change the {{Adoptme}} template to {{Adoptoffer}} on the user's user page, and this will add the user to Category:Wikipedians having been offered adoption. Users that have already been offered adoption can always have a second or third offer, but by separating out those users that have not had an adoption offer yet, it is hoped that no one will go lacking.

Furthermore numerous Adopters have been adding their details to a list of users available for adopting, to offer a more personalised service and allow new users to browse through and pick their own Adopter. The quickest way to adopt though, is still to contact users at the Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.
