David Bierk was born in Appleton, Minnesota in 1944. He is a famous Canadian painter whose art is still on exhibition at the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York.

He was a father of 8 including Canadian actress Dylan Bierk, professional hockey goal tender Zac Bierk, and former lead singer of Skid Row Sebastian Bach.

David Bierk died in August 2002 at the age of 57 after fighting a valiant battle with cancer.
