[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Sfseal.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Sfseal.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —The preceding signed comment was added by Angr (talk • contribs). 18:49, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template:AIDvoter
This template does not function correctly anymore. Every person who voted for George Washington (last week's winner) does not have a message about George Washington anymore, but about Volcano, this week's winner. Errabee 12:03, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Taichung City
I am new on WikiProject Cities. I have added considerable content to the first city I am working on, which happens to be the city of my residence, Taichung City. Would you mind taking a few minutes to look it over and leave comments on how you think I can make it better to bring it up to WikiProject Cities standards in a section of the discussion page for the city’s article page that I have set up.
Thank you. Ludahai 03:40, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Foxentertainment.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Foxentertainment.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned public domain images
The following images were uploaded by you, but are currently not in use. They have been tagged as public domain (PD), either as PD-self or other PD claim, or equivilant. These unused PD images may be subject to deletion as orphans. You may wish to add them to an article, tag them for copying to WP commons {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}} or if they are no longer needed, they can be nominated for deletion by following the easy three step process at Images and media for deletion. If you have any questions, please leave me a note on my talk page. --Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr.) 02:53, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Indiana MSA map.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Indiana MSA map.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peter O. (Talk) 06:10, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

This message is to notify you that a stub template that you created ({{SciFiUS-stub}}) is up for deletion at WP:SFD. Please join the discussion. Thanks. ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 17:28, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Scotch broom
If you look at the article, you'll notice MPF never removed the fact that Cytisus scoparius is called Scotch Broom in North America. While his moving of the information in a different might not be wise, it can hardly be called "censoring". Usually, it is recommended to use the common name either most widespread, or used through the native range of the species, which is probably why MPF placed Common Broom first in the article. [edit] {{LGBTProject}}
Hi, Davodd! Just as an FYI, when you add the {{LGBTProject}} tag, it doesn't need the {{Template:LGBTProject}}. Doesn't hurt it, but doesn't need it either :) -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 01:28, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Indiana names
I just finished tweaking some of the IPA pronunciations of cities in Indiana that you put in a few months ago. Just wanted you to know that if you'd like someone to check your IPA, don't be afraid to ask me. Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 06:43, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:La_seal.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Image:2000-census-reapportionment.jpg
Hi Davodd, you uploaded the image very early without source mentioning census.gov pic. I moved the image on commons which has been tagged with no source image. I am unable to find out the source link. Would you add the source link to the image. Regards, Shyam (T/C) 06:50, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of 2007 in New Zealand television
An editor has nominated 2007 in New Zealand television, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2007 in New Zealand television and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:SF_marriage_license.png
Thank you for uploading Image:SF_marriage_license.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Hbdragon88 01:00, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- To clarify, only federal works are guaranteed PD (and that would be {{PD-USGov}}), while state works are usually copyrighted. In either case, it's definitely not {{PD-old}}. Hbdragon88 01:01, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
