Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) was created in 1934 to build and operate toll bridges across the Delaware River, which is the boundary between New Jersey and Pennsylvania, from Trenton, New Jersey north to the New York border. The Commission is a private agency and currently operates seven toll bridges and 13 free toll-supported bridges (2 of which are pedestrian-only). Revenues from these seven bridges subsidize the 13 free bridges.
The Commission charges a 75¢ cash auto toll (60¢ E-ZPass) on its toll bridges, as of November 1, 2003, with trucks paying $5-$18.25 depending on axle type. The Commission is a member of the E-ZPass electronic toll collection system.
