Electro rock
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Electro rock is a sub-genre of punk. Often it has been called "electro post-punk". It is a hybrid of new wave and punk rock, and uses elements from electronica and New Wave such as synthesizers, drum machines, and samples. It is closely related to dance-punk, New Wave and/or new rave. In fact most bands recording within these three genres are titled as all of them.
