The Estonian Cricket Team is a fledgling team which represents the nation of Estonia in International Cricket competitions. They are not officially endorsed by the International Cricket Council and are therefore not entitled to participate in ICC Official events, however they do have an application to the European Cricket Council pending, which should see them granted Affiliate Status in the near future.
Estonian cricket relies upon the support of touring sides from Britain and other European nations to get matches to play. Currently the Estonian team has the lowest ranking in world cricket.
Estonia is also home to a unique variant of the game in Ice Cricket. The Ice Cricket World Championship is held annually in the Estonian city of Tallinn and is played upon the surface of a frozen lake.
The history of Estonian cricket is documented in the book 'Slogging The Slavs: A Paranormal Cricket Tour from the Baltic to the Bosphorus', by Angus Bell, released in December 2006 by Fat Controller Media.
