[edit] Details of Biography
Shoher, born in the USSR, emigrated to Israel during the Third Aliyah. Shoher wrote dozens of essays and articles on political philosophy, politics, economics, military affairs, security, and religion.
[edit] Views
Shoher describes himself as Macchiavellian rationalist. He rejects moral concerns, religious and historical rights, and argues for peace through overwhelming application of force. His critics call him a freedom fighter [citation needed], Jewish terrorist and fascist, and accuse him of hate speech. Shoher dedicates his website to Avraham Stern, a controversial leader of the Jewish military group Lehi, and disapproves of Baruch Goldstein only on technicality.
Shoher became known [citation needed] in 2005 when he published a book, Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict.[1] After several publishers refused the book, Shoher's adherents self-published it with BookSurge which soon terminated the contract. The book is now available on Shoher's website for free download, and the site claims for it more than 170,000 readers from 78 countries. It is advertised by sending messages to Israeli users of social websites such as MySpace and Amazon.com [citation needed].
Shoher calls for overturning Israeli government, annexing Judea, Samaria, and Gaza to Israel, and transfer of Israeli Arabs to Jordan. Shoher's racist incitement is apparently the reason for him remaining anonymous, since Israeli law bans racists from the Knesset.
China blocked access to Shoher's website after his articles on North Korea nuclear weapons program. Google banned advertising of Shoher's website for "unacceptable content," "sensitive content" (reports on the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war) and "advocating against a group" (Shoher applies the collective responsibility doctrine to the Palestinian people).[2] Amazon.com deleted all reviews of Shoher's book over the alleged spam.[3]
[edit] Following
Shoher's followers organized into the Samson Blinded group, named after the Shoher's manifesto. The group claimed, among other things, DDOS attacks against Stormfront website,[4] erasing hundreds of websites in Morocco in retaliation for Israeli website defacement by Moroccan hackers,[5] and organizing street protests in Ukraine against the World Holocaust Forum.[6] Unusually for the political groups, Shoher's website doesn't collect donations.
