Highway 424 (Ontario)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Highway 424 is a proposed 400-Series Highway in the Canadian province of Ontario, which would connect Highway 401 at Cambridge to Highway 403 at Brantford along the current Highway 24 corridor.
The highway has been part of the Ministry of Transportation's plans for Brant County and Waterloo Region since the 1970s. Although constantly delayed, civic leaders in the region have recently begun to lobby the provincial government to begin construction of this route. In late March 2005, the provincial government announced that an environmental assessment has begun, and that construction should begin by the end of the decade.
