Swati A. Dandekar is the Iowa State Representative from the 36th District. She has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2003. She received her BS from Nagpur University and her graduate degree from Bombay University
Dandekar currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Appropriations committee; the Economic Growth committee; and the Transportation committee. She also serves as chair of the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee.
Dandekar was re-elected in 2006 with 6,987 votes, defeating Republican opponent Nick Wagner. [1]
