This WikiProject was formed to foster better articles on the state of the United States known as the Commonwealth of Kentucky with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles, which can be discussed at the project's talk.

This project covers the creation and editing of articles related to the U.S. State Kentucky, its cities, counties, geography, transportation, culture, history and so on. It aims to improve and refine Wikipedia's resources on Kentucky in a fair and accurate manner and logically link them through a high-quality, well-maintained Kentucky Portal.

- February 22, 2007: Number of pages catalogued for WikiProject Kentucky surpasses 2,000.
- January 2, 2007: Assessment system developed and begins to be utilized.
- September 27, 2006: Child project WikiProject KYOVA Region begins.
- September 17, 2006: Number of pages catalogued for WikiProject Kentucky surpasses 1,750.
- September 13, 2006: Child project WikiProject Bluegrass Region begins.
