We're Only in It for the Money on Frank Zappan ja hänen silloisen yhtyeensä The Mothers of Inventionin neljäs levy vuodelta 1968. Levy koostuu lyhyehköistä toisiinsa liitetyistä lauluista, jotka parodioivat tuolloin muodissa ollutta hippiaatetta ja -liikettä, hälyäänistä ja orkesterikatkelmista ja – kuten molempien levyjen kannessa mainitaan – muodostaa eräänlaisen parin Zappan edellisen levyn, Lumpy Gravyn, kanssa.
Levyn kansi on Beatlesin Sgt. Pepperin kannen jäljitelmä nurin päin: avattavan levykannen ulkopuoli on sisäpuoli ja sisäpuoli ulkopuoli. Siinä missä Sgt. Pepperin kansiteksti 'The Beatles' esitetään kukkasin, 'Mothers' lukee tämän levyn kannessa melonein, porkkanoin ja punajuurin.
