GNR Class H3

The Great Northern Railway Class H3, classified K3 by the LNER was a class of 2-6-0 steam locomotive designed for freight work. They became an LNER group standard type after the grouping and 193 locomotives were built in seven batches between 1920 and 1937.
In 1945, Edward Thompson rebuilt K3 No. 206 into a two-cylinder engine forming the LNER Class K5, though no more were treated. However, some were later rebuilt with K5 boilers.
None has survived to preservation.
