LNER Thompson Class B2

The London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) Thompson Class B2 was a class of 4-6-0 steam locomotive. Ten were built whilst 10 members of the LNER Class B17, where suddenley withdrawn & replaced but no more were built after the 10th but last member from the LNER Gresely B17 Class where withdrawn & replaced as a result of the successful LNER Thompson Class B1.
The (B2 Thompson) Class was also popular with the names from the ten sudden withdrawn members from the Gresley B17 Class Carried The Double II Letter which means Number 2 & In which it always standed for.
