IgoUgo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
- IgoUgo is also a term used for a type of turn-based strategy game.
IgoUgo is an online travel community. Winner of the 2004 Webby Award for “Best Travel Site in the U.S.,” IgoUgo rewards its contributing writers and photographers with GO Points, which can be redeemed for gift cards to online retailers frequent-flier miles, and more. In addition, IgoUgo.com recently introduced a new Travel Deals section.
Launched in June 2000, IgoUgo.com is a travel-planning resource.
Social networking is also a key component of IgoUgo’s travel community. All members have personal profiles and a message center, which allows users to learn more about the person behind the review (their favorite destinations, films, books, etc), then to contact that member with questions or to just say hello. IgoUgo members can also create a personal friends network, which allows them to stay up-to-date on all their favorite IgoUgo contributors' travel journals.
Anyone can join IgoUgo (for free) to share his/her own travel reviews and photos. For a quick overview of some of IgoUgo's best member contributions, visit the IgoUgo Hall of Fame or browse the IgoUgo Top Rated Journal Archive, linked below.
As of 2007, IgoUgo is a sister site under Travelocity; both websites are owned by Sabre Holdings.
