hi, sorry for interruption, could you please see to the NPOV of exclusion of Brazil from this article. It was there until a month ago, and some guys keep excluding South America and Brazil from what I believe is its just place (and I am not alone, since these previous edits were there long before, to include Brazil). thanks Perroot 21:57, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sonic Review

[reply to what you said in the peer reveiw:]You had some suggestions from people in the CVG reveiw, but it helps to get you to interact on the feedback side too. You never responded to the comments on the CVG review. --ZeWrestler Talk 04:16, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Something (song)

Hi. Always use the "move" tab at the top of an article ot move it to a new location. In this case, you can't automatically move Something (song) to Something, because Something has history. We need to request a move at Wikipedia:Requested moves. --FuriousFreddy 23:43, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

If the move tab doesn't work, you have to request a move from either a moderator or at Wikipedia:Requested moves. It's okay, though - I did the same thing when I first got here too. --FuriousFreddy 20:38, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] James Bond

I'm not so sure it is ready to tell you the truth. It has a lot of good stuff, but the article, IMHO, isn't quite ready. The size of the article needs to be cut down and the images need to be fixed before even trying again. I don't have the time to put into James Bond with Thunderball currently on FAC. I'm more interested getting that to become an FA in 2005. I'd hold off. I'd consider putting it up for peer review first. K1Bond007 01:02, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Casseta & Planeta

Good translation- I copy edited your version and I think this is enough information for the English wiki. Of course, the Portuguese article is much better, but much of the humor would be Lost in Translation. I think this article is sufficient. Can we remove the translation request from the board?--Adam 00:15, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] RfC/poll – Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker: one article or two?

Greetings! I hope you're well. I see that you have been involved with the above issue previously. To that end, I thought I'd notify you of this request for comment (RfC)/poll to determine if there's sufficient support for a unified article (as is) or two. I encourage you to participate and to weigh in. Thanks for your co-operation! E Pluribus Anthony 02:51, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:EggmanSketch.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:EggmanSketch.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 18:07, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Sega template

I saw your post on the Wikiproject:CVG talk page. I think it looks good, and it makes sense having a Sega table, seeing how there is a Nintendo one. Thunderbrand 21:18, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

I was playing around with it but I can't get it to work right, so I didn't save it. The only accessories I tried to add was the VMU and Nexus Memory Card. There are some more under the Sega harware category. Thunderbrand 21:29, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Tails classic.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Tails classic.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ReyBrujo 17:15, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nominating good articles

Don't forget about the long article section. Sonic clearly fit into this as the article size is over 50 Kb. --SeizureDog 00:18, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Citation templates at Final Fantasy VI

Thanks for catching that. We usually are citing webpages, even when the information originally came from a magazine. Also, we typically copy-paste the template and fill it in each time we add a new reference. We must have just overlooked which particular template we were using at the time. Thanks again. Ryu Kaze 15:43, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sonic

Hi - I've reverted your recent Sonic edit, as it made some huge changes, removing whole sections etc, without any reasoning specified in the edit summary. I'm sure some (if not all) of the changes made a lot of sense, but could you redo them, with an edit summary supplied, so we all understand why the changes are being done etc? Thanks, --Oscarthecat 21:44, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alien/Predator computer games

I've reverted your split of Template:Alien. You can't do something like that without discussion and consulation. It is worth pointing out that we have spent the last few months merging the Aliens/Predator computer games template into the main template (after consultation with various parties [1]). Hope that helps bring you up to speed on the history of developments in this area and explains why I made the changes I did (so they don't seem to have just come out of the blue). (Emperor 18:03, 14 December 2006 (UTC))

We've been discussing this issue for a while and if people have complaints about the specific template they are welcome to raise them. I will certianly look into adding a hide button to the template though (I have asked here if there is a way to do this simply). As it stands this new template has been inconsistently applied and against the general consensus reached by the editors in the specific topic area. For now what I might do is change that template to a redirect but I have to away from the computer for a few days so will have to look into this in more depth next week. (Emperor 19:08, 14 December 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Template:Mortal Kombat series split

Before unilaterally splitting off a template next time, please see the discussion that's clearly linked to on every article's talk page, where I've started a discussion to address this topic: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mortal Kombat#Template split. VirogIt's notmy fault! 14:33, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Indeed. I've undone the edit (and removed one of the categories that you added, as templates aren't supposed to show up in the main directory) and redirected the characters template to the main one (that way, if we do split off the characters, your edits haven't been wasted). [edit] Final Fantasy IX

Hello. It is generally accepted practice (WP:LEAD and so on) to summarize articles in the lead; however, copying and pasting the information in the lead to the appropriate section is not the best solution, it has to be stated in different words. — Deckiller 04:07, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Join us in the "Terminator" Article discussion page...please...

If you are still a member of Wikipedia, please join user:TomTheHand and myself in a discussion of which terms should apply to the Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Infiltration Unit in its various forms.

To be as neutral as possible, I will relate the views of TomTheHand as well as my own, as accurately as posible:

Tom believes that the term "Android" should apply to all of the incarnations of the Model 101, from Endoskeleton all the way up to the gestalts of flesh-and-blood and the combat chassis played by Arnold in the movies. He furthermore believes that the term "cyborg" does not apply to any of the Terminator's forms.

Thanos777 -myself -thinks that the Terminator is worthy of multiple appelations depending on which configuration (read: Type/Series) the Model 101 is configured as.

That is to say, I believe that the "Base" Model 101, just the endoskeleton with no cosmetic enhancements, is best defined as either a Humanoid Robot, Anthropomorphic Robot, or simply a Robot.

When the Model 101 is outfitted as a Type/Series 600, the endoskeleton covered by rubber skin, I believe that the Terminator is then most correctly classified as an "android."

And finally, when the Model 101 is equipped as a Type/Series 800/850, the endoskeleton with the living flesh-and-blood covering, I believe that the most correct term for the creatre is "cyborg."

Again, I respectfully ask you to come back to the "Terminator" Article and lend your input; those of us who are there in the Article's discussion page are engaging in a lot of back-and-forth regarding the different terms and the disagreements as to when they should be used.

Hope to "see" you there soon!!!

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Prost 1993.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Prost 1993.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:49, 11 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alexj2002 23:49, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Mega_Man_X_art.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mega_Man_X_art.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] GA article nomination

The article you just nominated for the James Bond song needs all of the inline citations to be directly after the punctuation. Just wanted to let you know before somebody reviews it and save you some time later. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 19:41, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Just felt the need to say this

16:25, 21 February 2007 Igordebraga (Talk | contribs) (→New requests - since a guy's been working a lot on this, and putting at the GAC all the time...)

1.) That "guy" is a girl. 2.) I didn't put it up for GA all the time. I only did it twice. The first GA-request was not done by me. I don't know who was the first to nominate it or when he/she did. I just know the Geist (video game) was a failed GA candidate when I started improving the article and that it was far from even a B-rating. When I thought it was good enough for GA, I nominated it. That nomination failed and after changing/improving everything that was wrong with it according to the reviewer, I resubmitted it. As you can see, Geist did get the GA status this time.

No, I'm not mad or anything. I just felt I let you know.DreamingLady 13:26, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the FAC support!

And thanks again for the extra work you put into the DMC2 article. I'll take care of the reviews table once I get home, provided you don't do it first. It'll just take a bit of theft from the current FAs... Cheers, Lankybugger 20:48, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Minority Report

I noticed you changed all the refs on Minority Report. I'm one of the main contributors to that article, in the future you should note that violates this ruling. Citation templates are not mandatory as is clearly stated on WP:CITET ("The use of Citation templates is not required by WP:CITE and is neither encouraged nor discouraged by any other Wikipedia citation guidelines" also and in particular "Because they are optional, editors should not change articles from one style to another without consensus.")and the format used in that article was the same I used on Michael Jordan which recently passed FAC. During the Jordan FAC SandyGeorgia helped me format the refs and they are perfectly within guidelines. I say this because I (like many editors) dislike templates. That said I'm not going to revert them and get into a drawn out argument. Just wanted you to know that doing so in the future without discussion might upset other people in the future. Personally I prefer the manual method I do not however go around inserting it into every article I come across.

Incidentally, great work on that section analyzing the differences between the book and the movie. The article is pretty close to GA, I'm going to work on it in the next few days to address the Reviewer's concerns. If you can find any good sourced info on the Themes that would be great. It's very hard to write a solidly sourced Themes section that doesn't use OR. Quadzilla99 06:09, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

P.S. If you'd like to respond, please comment here so the discussion doesn't get broken off, thanks. Quadzilla99 10:32, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Some anon added a bunch of stuff to the plot section. I think you saw that. I just reverted all of it. Quadzilla99 22:19, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
