[edit] Kleiner in HL1?
"Dr. Isaac Kleiner is a fictional character from the video games Half-Life and Half-Life 2." Can you say that, considering he never actually features in the first game (according to the article)? Retodon8 11:36, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
He might have appeared as an unnamed scientist who said the following, but was ridiculed: "I'm going to capture one of these crabs!" Flashn00b 02:34, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- There is no such scientist line in Half-Life. The only occurance of this line was by some vandal who kept adding it to HL's entry at WikiQuote (Might even be there again right now, haven't checked). MarphyBlack 18:09, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lamarr
Do we know that his headcrap is named after Hedy Lamarr? Could it not perhaps be Mark Lamarr? :P
- I suppose if he called it "Mark" instead of "Hedy," sure. Nufy8 23:48, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah; in the end of the chapter "Entanglement", when looking for Lamarr, Kleiner says "There is only one Hedy!". So, there you go.
[edit] In Decay
Kleiner was very briefy mentioned in the Ps2-exclusive Decay when, at the beggining, one of the scientists (his name escapes me but I know he was in a wheelchair) said that "Dr. Freeman is late again" and "I don't know what KLEINER sees in that boy." Perhaps this should be mentioned in the article?
- Added (Put it in the only place it seemed relevant), since I believe this is the only time there is an ingame reference to him before Half-Life 2. Although, I may be forgetting something minute like his name on a texture somewhere. If so, then this is still a somewhat signifigant mention since it's referring to his character, not just a random name on a locker or something. - MarphyBlack 04:06, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Interim Leader"?
"or even that he has been made interim leader in Breen's absence." Kleiner was totally supportive of the rebellion in HL2, so how can you think that he was chosen as a "leader" for the Combine troops on Earth? There is no evidences of this, so I suggest deletion.
- I think that's trying to say he might be the interim leader of City 17, not the Combine troops. Nufy8 22:24, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, I understand, but "in Breen's absence"? That confuses it a bit... sounds like he's the new leader for the Combine Overwatch...
- No, "in Breen's absence" refers to Breen's rule of City 17, which Kleiner took over after Breen escaped.--Name Theft Victim 21:46, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alex
Kliener isn't actually called Alex in the original's instuctions. He's refered to only as "Dr. Kliener". The Alex reference exists only in the player's guide, and is probably a mistake.
- isn't he called issac?
[edit] Kleincast
Anyone have the text of the Kleincast yet? Landeyda 18:16, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Well, the various 'casts arent listed in the game files as sound files, so I guess someone will just have to copy from in-game. Spiderbloke 02:06, 12 June 2006 (GMT)
- The dialogue of the rebels in the safehouse where Kleiner is on TV would be interesting too. As I recall, they're a bit rude about Kleiner having a major role in the rebellion. I didn't catch all of the conversation - it might only be triggered when you're a short distance away from the room with the TV in it - but it'd be a useful addition to his article I think. Cheers, --Plumbago 12:24, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] his location in half life 2
Has anyone thaught to put information on his lab up. This could include he fact that that is where gordon gets his health meter, the fact that this is where lamarr changes the whole corse of he game and of all the little gadgets like the mini teleporter (that i somehow managed to brake) which is on the left as you walk in.
[edit] Named after Asimov?
This is pure speculation, isn't it? Thermaland 11:06, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
