[edit] Hi
Just dealing with the midnight vandals, noticed youre one of the local admins we dont see on talk pages in WP:WA - are you interested in the Jimbo meetup at all? SatuSuro 15:19, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Interested, very, but sadly I won't be able to make it. I'm 16 so that might complicate things anyway but I'll hang around WP:WA and WP:PERTH, I hadn't thought to look for them before. James086Talk|Email 11:42, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I think you are one of two other admins in wa that doesnt show up regularly in the local chat and conspiracy that i call the four hose-persons of the apocalypse (jokingly) who inhabit the wa/ and perth project talk pages - worth keeping up with it all, cheers SatuSuro 03:13, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

For surviving one month of adminship and not screwing up (that I can tell!), I award my friend James this shiny pointy thing. :) – Riana ঋ 09:38, 25 March 2007 (UTC) |
Aww shucks. Thanks, I could say the same about you. So I will! James086Talk | Email 23:49, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RFA Thanks
I would like to thank you for your support in my recent RFA. As you may or may not be aware, it passed with approximately 99% support. I ensure you that I will use the tools well, and if I ever disappoint you, I am open to recall. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to leave me a note on my talkpage. Thanks again, ^demon[omg plz] 20:39, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wrong Password
Dear James086:
Please excuse my not logging in to write you, but I can't. My Preferences page says I'm Bruce Bathurst. I created an account using the latest Safari on MacOSX 10.4.9. Safari allows cookies if they are sent from the domain 'wikipedia.org' (no 3d-party cookies). Is that my problem?
No matter what passwords I used, it wouldn't accept them; so I asked for one by e-mail. That worked fine. So, then I edited "Gibbs' phase rule' talk, and all worked fine: comments are still there. Then I wrote something about myself. Looked find. Then I logged out.
Again my password was 'wrong', and I logged in by requesting one. What I wrote about myself had been deleted, though what I wrote about Gibbs was still there.
Should I just accept the Administator's password and not change it? Or, do you recognize something I'm doing wrong?
Bruce Bathurst, PhD
PS. I'm a retired professional computer consultant.

- You will have to use the new password, but once you log in I suggest changing it to your prefered password, simply so you can remember it. Problems similar to this often arise, and it's most likely an issue with cookies. You can try allowing all cookies from
en.wikipedia.org
though sometimes that doesn't work. If you find yourself still having troubles I recommend using the secure site ( https://en.wikipedia.org ). It's a bit slower than the normal site but is a lot more stable and therefore most browsers and security suites have no problems with it. When I use it (on another pc which has similar problems to your's) I don't notice any difference. I would suggest you keep on blocking 3rd party cookies simply for security on other sites. I hope it's helped, I can't really think of anything else. If you still have problems try asking at the Help desk where there are lots of people who will see your question. [edit] Holden (New Zealand) --> Holden New Zealand
Hi, the article Holden (New Zealand) is named incorrectly and should be named Holden New Zealand, but I cannot move the page because a redirect of the same name has already been created. If you could move the page for me that would be greatly appreciated. OSX 06:57, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RFA Thanks
