Kagaku Sentai Dynaman (科学戦隊ダイナマン Kagaku Sentai Dainaman?), translated into English as Scientific Squadron Dynaman, was the 7th Super Sentai. Produced by Toei Company Ltd., the series aired from February 5, 1983, to January 28, 1984, with a total of 51 episodes. It had originally been intended as a baseball-themed sentai.
6 episodes were later seen on the USA Network's Night Flight and alternately, Nickelodeon's Special Delivery in 1987-88 as a dubbed parody, simply titled Dynaman. This was the first time the Super Sentai Series was ever shown in the US in dubbed form, the only other one being the dubbed Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger episode that was directly translated in Power Rangers: Dino Thunder, and which had a similar but less over-the-top comedic overdub job done to it.
Voice actor Toru Ohira, who narrated the super sentai series beginning with Himitsu Sentai Goranger, departed after this series. After narrating the Metal Hero Series from 1984 to 1989 (Except for Choujinki Metalder in 1987), he would later return to narrate Kyoryuu Sentai Zyuranger in 1992, and perform the voice of Emperor Bacchus-Rage in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger in 1995.

- The first sentai to not wear scarves (which an earlier tokusatsu series demonstrated to be impractical).
- The first Sentai with stylized villains, mecha and monsters, designed by veteran Yutaka Izubuchi.
- The first sentai with a strong supporting villain/antihero.
- The first sentai series to have popular rock (and even New Wave) music (all previous shows had 1970s-style disco).
- The first sentai to have a 20-minute running length, starting with Episode 9 (In 1997, the premiere of Denji Sentai Megaranger would return the Super Sentai Series to its original 25-minute running length).
- The first sentai to be presented in the American public (see top).
- The first sentai to regularly use colored explosions in the roll call. In general, this series had a heavy use of pyrotechnics, Hence the name: Dynaman.
