This is a list of all manned missions to Mir. Mir was a highly successful Russian Space Station, whose core was originally launched February 19, 1986. It was largely assembled while in orbit and had many short-term crew (about a week aboard the station) as well as many long-term crew (from 6 months up to Valeri Polyakov's 14 month stay beginning January 1994, which still holds the record for longest spaceflight).
Many of the crew who visited Mir used different spacecraft to launch than they did to land; the first such examples were Alexander Viktorenko and Muhammed Faris who flew up in Soyuz TM-3 (launched July 22, 1987) and landed a week later in Soyuz TM-2 (on July 30, 1987), as illustrated in the table. The largest crew aboard Mir simultaneously (not including the NASA Space Shuttle missions) was 6, which first occurred with the launch of Soyuz TM-7 on November 26, 1988 and lasted for just over three weeks - also illustrated in the table. The station existed until March 23, 2001, at which point it was deliberately de-orbited and broke apart during atmospheric reentry.
