List of My-Otome episodes

This article is about episodes of the anime My-Otome. There are 26 episodes that aired on TV and there will be a 4-episode OVA, My-Otome Zwei, released later in 2006 and 2007 that will continue the storyline. The first episode was released on 24 November 2006 and the second episode was released on 23 February 2007. The third episode will be released on 25 May 2007.^[1]

Like My-HiME, My-Otome also has several short specials included with each DVD release that provide supplementary information about the show, which not all of them are to be considered canon for the series. A total of nine omake were produced, and they include the following shorts:

A faux trailer for a My-HiME movie (The Great Battle of Fuka)
A special focusing on Haruka's character (This Week's Armitage)
One featuring several of the female cast at a lingerie party (Juliet's Conspiracy)
Another that recounts Shiho's Maki Maki ordeal during an excursion in Aries (Shiho Spirals)
The next one features Akane in the lead on failed attempts to consummate her relationship with Kazu (By the Red Sky)
Following, another short focusing on Erstin spending her last night in company of both Arika and Nina (Erstin Ho's last smile)
The seventh special casts the spotlight on cat Mikoto, defending Arika from the Aswad Knights (In the village of the Aswad)
The eighth short centers around Mai explaining her whereabouts after she graduated. (The legend of the Fire String Ruby)
The last omake pits the cast of My-Otome against their My-HiME counterparts. (My-乙HiME VS My-HiME)

Deeply impressed after witnessing the power of Meister Otome Shizuru Viola, Arika is more determined than ever to become a real Otome and attend the school of Garderobe. However, before her wish can become reality, certain conditions must be met.

In order to acquire permission to attend the Otome school of Garderobe, unexperienced Arika must face Coral number 1, Nina, in a show-off battle during the coronation ceremony of princess Mashiro. While they're at it, some unexpected disturbances appear.

After safe conclusion to the crisis of the previous episode, Arika is admitted to Garderobe and receives some important lessons on the way. She has already earned quite a reputation in the new academy, and, thanks to that, some enemies as well.

Arika's studentship is put in jeopardy right after the beginning, as her lost uniform shows up in a store of questionable reputation. To prove that she didn't sell the uniform willingly, Arika has to place her trust into her new friends and uncover the true culprit. Arika also receives a letter from an anonymous person, who expresses a desire to aid her with financial problems.

Upper classmate Shiho's jealousy towards Nina reaches catastrophic heights, as she decides to sabotage the school's swimming pool during sports class. Once again, it's up to Arika and her friends to clean up the mess.
The Blue Dance/Oath of the Maiden	蒼の舞／乙女の契り	2005-11-17	07
While helping with the reconstruction of the royal palace, Arika comes to hear a rumour questioning Mashiro's right to the throne of Windbloom. After accidentally uncovering a secret passage within the castle, Arika and Mashiro find what appears to be a great harmonium. Playing a note with it has unexpected consequences.
Burden of Destiny	運命の軛	2005-11-24	08
After making a contract with Mashiro in the climax of the previous episode, Arika is now responsible for finding a way to cancel it. Which doesn't appear to be as easy as she thinks. In order to get the necessary know-how, Arika and her friends break into the Garderobe databank, located beneath the forbidden mausoleum of the first Otome.
The Ocean - Swimsuit + Disaster = ?	海ー水着＋遭難＝？	2005-12-01	09
As a part of the Otome training, Arika's Coral class enters a 100 km hiking trip in rough terrain. With randomly chosen pairs, the students enter into wilderness, when things start to go wrong. As expected, it's Arika and her partner Erstin, who get caught into the center of events.
A Serious Otome Matter	それが乙女の一大事	2005-12-08	10
With the appearance of the hostile terrorist group Aswad from the Black Valley, Garderobe, Mashiro, and guests from Artai Republic get to witness a plot schemed together by a mysterious organization named Schwarz.

Several coincidences occur with Mashiro, Arika and Nina's birthdays all in the same day. Nina accidentally loses a precious pocket watch, which she received from Sergay, and goes to search for it with Arika. Meanwhile, Mashiro decides to run away again, instead of meeting with royal guests from a neighbouring country. To avoid an international conflict, Windbloom has to come up with a hasty substitute.
Masquerade?	仮面舞踏かい？	2005-12-22	12
Arika has to impersonate the missing Mashiro and meet the foreign prince Takumi, who is in fact Akira, the real prince's guardian. Nina then pretends to be Arika, and watches over her friend's performance. Meanwhile Mashiro, going by the name of Nina, has met the real Prince Takumi (who tells his name to be Akira) in the slums of the Windbloom capital. After many confusing turns, Mashiro slowly begins to realize how things really are in the country she's supposed to rule.
In the Crimson Sky...	茜色の空に…	2006-01-05	13
Uncharacteristically depressed Arika realizes she has developed feelings for Sergay, and is having hard time trying to choose between the fate of an Otome and finding a love of her life: both she cannot have. Elsewhere, for the first time in several years, two Meister Otomes from different countries are engaged into a battle against each other, foreshadowing some events of larger scale.

Arika keeps acting strange because of her mixed up feelings, making her friends concerned. Meanwhile, the boiling Otome conflict between the two countries of Romulus and Remus is investigated by Shizuru, and turns out to be triggered by a third party - possibly Aswad, working in behalf of Artai's Grand Duke Nagi and organization Schwarz.
Arika -Cries-	アリカ、泣く。	2006-01-19	15
As Sergay rescues Arika from a dangerous situation, she finally gets a chance to act on her feelings. However, Arika eventually gets turned down by Sergay, for her own good. She later finds a shoulder to cry on from Mashiro, who's not too happy either, after witnessing herself as an incompetent queen. With newfound confidence, both of them decide to work hard to make their dreams come true.

Arika, Nina and Erstin all promise to become Meister Otomes together. But before they realize it, their dreams are shot down as the carefully hatched plan of Schwarz is put in motion, and king Nagi of Artai launches a full revolution on Windbloom.

With hostile forces invading the capital of Windbloom, all Otomes are summoned into battle. But when a wicked enemy plan causes the source of the Otome technology to shut down, along with the appearance of an unexpected traitor, Arika finds herself set face-to-face against her dearest friends.

Three days after the disastrous raid against Windbloom, Mashiro is forced to join refugees fleeing from her homeland. Nina serves now as the Meister Otome of Grand Duke Nagi, with Arika nowhere to be found, and Garderobe's headmaster Natsuki in exile as well. Getting to know her former subordinates better, Mashiro comes all the more closer with the painful truth about her leadership qualities.
Fateful 17-year-old	宿命の17歳	2006-02-16	19
Mashiro wakes up in the village of Aswad, among the people she thought to be her enemies, and is reunited with Arika. Elsewhere, Natsuki and Nao make their way into the Republic of Aries in order to request help for taking Garderobe back.
Don't Call me Ni-na	ニーナと呼ばないで	2006-02-23	20
Being distanced from her old friends, Nina is drawn ever more closer to her foster-father Sergay, for whom her feelings have been warming up for some time now. Natsuki's request is turned down in Aries, so she's forced to seek help from another country. This would be Cardair, where the king has just sent his Otome to claim valuable data from the village of Aswad - by force if necessary. Back at Garderobe, leader of a brand new Valkyrie Otome unit, Tomoe, makes a move on imprisoned Shizuru.
When the White Princess Awakens	白き姫、目覚めるとき	2006-03-02	21
For saving the refugees of Windbloom by taking them temporarily into the Aswad village, the people recognize Mashiro now as their rightful queen. However, in the Windbloom capital, Nagi discovers that the true heir to the throne might actually be Nina. With the warriors of Aswad heading to Cardair for vengeance because of the assault made into their homes, Sergay forms a plan to capture Mashiro with the assistance of the Valkyrie unit.
Song of Destruction	ホロビノウタ	2006-03-09	22
Aswad extracts vengeance against Cardair by killing off their Meister Otome, and the king Argos XIV along with her. But back at their village, Sergay and the Valkyrie led by Tomoe arrive to take Mashiro and Arika back to Windbloom. The two are saved only when Arika's childhood friend Miyu interferes. But back at the capital, Nagi has other plans, as he has Nina activate the true power of the Harmonium under the castle.
Arika of the Mysterious Valley	不思議の谷のアリカ	2006-03-16	23
Unable to find anything from the ruined capital of Cardair, Natsuki and Nao get lost in their path on the way back to Aries and fall into a trap. This leads them into the cursed Black Valley, where they meet Arika, Mashiro and Miyu. Along with some other familiar faces - Mai and Mikoto.

With the plans to liberate Windbloom underway, Sergay puts his life into line in order to protect Nina and destroy the source of the power of the Slaves and Valkyrie.
Maiden of the Blue Sky	蒼天の乙女	2006-03-30	25
Attempting to save the fatally wounded Sergay, Nina is forced to operate the Harmonium once more. Meanwhile, the operation Liberate Windbloom is put into full action, as the heroes face off with the enemy forces, each team on their own. And according to the plan to give the Otomes back their powers, Arika has to meet her late mother for one last time. However, in the end it appears Nagi is again one step ahead of everyone.
Dream☆Wing ~Whereabouts of a Dream	Dream☆Wing ～夢の在処	2006-03-30	26
The tide begins to turn, as Miyu saves the day by activating an ancient device underwater, which sets the Otome free from their contracts, enabling everyone to regain their robes. As they all join forces together to best the power of the Harmonium and capture Nagi, the rest is in Arika's hands to confront Nina and rescue the city.

Episodes 25 and 26 were aired as a 1 hour special.

The first special is a trailer for a fake My-HiME movie which would take place after the TV-series in 2006. It would also introduce several new characters (from the My-Otome universe), especially Arika Yumemiya, who is a member of the Searrs Foundation and fights the HiMEs. In the end there is also a short scene in which Mikoto meets the cat Mikoto (again from Otome), which seems to be in fact her brother.

Explaining events that took place behind-the-scenes after the incident in episode 4, this special features a broadcast from Artai television, dedicated to their Meister Otome - Haruka Armitage.

Taking place after episode 8, Nina narrates the embarrassing story of what happens to those indebted to Nao-senpai, involving lingeries and misty magazines.
Shiho Spirals	シホまきまきの巻	2006-04-26	04
The "real" culprit behind the disasters that occurred during the Otome field trip in episodes 9 and 10 is revealed, as Shiho's spiralled personality gets the better of her.
By the Red Sky	茜色の空の彼方	2006-05-26	05
This special reveals what happened to Akane and Kazuya after they fled. They want to have sex in a love hotel but are stopped by members of Kazuya's home country, who take him away so that he becomes the new emperor of the country. The shocked Akane is then taken in by Meister Otome Mahya Blythe who orders her to become the Meister Otome of Kazuya. She however, tells the two that she will watch over them and prevent them from having sex, much to the anger of the two lovers.

Knowing the inevitable coming, Erstin tries to enjoy her last days with her friends to the fullest.

How did the newly elected Column, Meister Otome Mai, end up walking into the Black Valley and become Mikoto's companion? Oddly enough, it appears to have nothing to do with a forbidden love, as Natsuki finds out.
My-Otome VS My-HiME	舞-乙ＨｉＭＥ VS 舞-ＨｉＭＥ	2006-09-22	09
When Arika is confronted by Mai about how much her series was not a happy show full of moe, it ends in a battle about what it is required from a main character for the series to be moe and how Mai & Arika do not fit this qualification. This special also functions as a teaser trailer for the upcoming OVA series - My-Otome Zwei.
