List of democratic socialist parties and organizations

This is a list of parties and organizations that are either explicitly democratic socialist or include significant numbers of democratic socialist members. The ideologies expressed in the policies of many of the parties is also listed. Some of these parties listed, such as the British Labour Party, Parti Quebecois and Social Democratic Party of Germany now advocate neo-liberal policies, despite once having a strong socialist character, and are not considered to be truly socialist by many on the left.

- Canadian Auto Worker's Union - (very leftwing agenda, has strong links to the socialist New Democratic Party. Has recently worked with the centrist Liberal Party on areas of common interest.)
- Communist Party of the Russian Federation - does not advocate a Leninist dictatorship of the proletariat guided by one communist party. Instead officially supports democratic socialist principles.
