User talk:M.e
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi! It's nice to see another person working on Byzantine Empire stuff...especially Pechenegs, that is one of those articles I was going to eventually write "someday," but never got around to it. Adam Bishop 19:26, 27 May 2004 (UTC) — Thanks, it's just a stub, do write it. m.e. 09:51, 8 Jun 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
[edit] Neomodernism

[edit] Image:Andrew Wilkie 2004-07-29.jpeg
Thank you for uploading Image:Andrew Wilkie 2004-07-29.jpeg. The link you give on that page as the source leads to a 404 Not Found error. The Media Centre page says "Copyright © 2005". The page says that it is "Free For Education," but restricting to educational use is against Wikipedia's goal as an open content encyclopedia. --Ellmist 04:37, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 12:54, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] American "dialog"
Hi. I changed the spelling of dialog because Platonic writing is always called "The Socratic Dialogue", and so for consistency the rest of article should use that (British) spelling. Batmanand | Talk 09:19, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Essendon Keilor College
G'day. Just a note telling you that by this diff to Essendon Keilor College you reverted to a prior version that contained libellous material. Please take care to ensure you are reverting pages to a legitimate and not vandalous version by using the "show preview" function before each edit. Thankyou, Jpe|ob 12:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- It just demonstrates the need to be absolutely sure that you are reverting to a version that you want. Happy editing! Jpe|ob 01:34, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] copyright permission
Could you tell me how i can show copyright permission. you deleted some quotes on balagangadhara article. --SV 19:36, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

- to add to the previous, the book from which the quote was made is itself in the public domain [1]. So i will go ahead add revert back to the older version of the article. --SV 19:41, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Phil Barker
I've nominated Phil Barker, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Phil Barker satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Phil Barker and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Phil Barker during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Inkpaduta 00:13, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- I see that you have expanded the article. Are there sources you can cite ? If there were 3 verifiable sources which were reliable (not blogs) and independent of the subject that would go a long way. Is your information first hand ? That tends to be considered original research and does not support keeping the article. Have there been magazine articles or interviews? Are there respected websites in wargaming ? [edit] re: your request on Wikipedia:Deletion review/Content review
I have temporarily posted the page's contents to User:M.e/Phil Barker. While in your userspace, you may attempt to clean up the article and improve it to meet Wikipedia's generally accepted standards. You may not create links to the page while it is in your userspace and you should not attempt to move any revised version into the article-space until you get some independent opinions that the issues raised during the original AFD discussion have been successfully addressed. (That last issue is less relevant if your intent is only to merge the content to another page.)
Please also remember that this is a temporary restoration only. When you are finished with the version in your userspace, please tag the page with db-userreq. Thanks. Rossami (talk) 23:51, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
