Mark Noble (born May 8, 1987 in Newham, London) is a professional football player who currently plays for West Ham United.
At the age of just seventeen he made his debut in the League Cup on 24-08-2004, in a 2-0 win against Southend. He made his league debut in the Championship on 15-01-2005, starting in a 4-2 defeat away at Wolves.
In the 2004-05 season his appearances were 10(3) in the Championship, 3 in the FA Cup, 0(2) in the League Cup and 0(3) in the Championship play-offs. Totaling 13(8) in his debut season.
Upon West Ham's return to the Premiership he featured in games against Tottenham and Manchester United among others. He was subsequently loaned to Hull City but was sent back due to a back injury.
In the 2005-06 season his appearances were WEST HAM: 4(1) in the Premiership, 1 in the League Cup. HULL: 4(1), in the Championship. Totaling 9(2) in his second season as a first team player.
Former Manager Alan Pardew had described Mark as possibly the best prospect at the club, but discovering his best position still remains both a quandary and a necessity if he is to make himself a feature at Upton Park. Mark has featured predominantly as a central midfielder so far in his first team career. He won Hammer Young Player of the Year in the 2004/5 season.
Mark signed a three month loan with Ipswich Town in August 2006 in the hope of gaining necessary first team experience. Whilst there he played 12(1) games in the Championship, and scored his first professional goal on 12-09-2006 in a 2-1 home win over Conventry. After completing the successful spell at Ipswich, several Championship teams showed an interest in signing Mark on loan for another period, but chose instead to remain with West Ham with the hope of breaking into the West Ham first team.
Mark Noble has featured occasionally since then.
He scored his first goal for West Ham, a 3-0 win at home against Brighton & Hove Albion on 06-01-07 in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in which he was also awarded the Man of the Match award.
On 4th March 2007 he scored his first Premiership goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Upton Park in a game West Ham eventually lost 4-3 in the final seconds, prompting tears from the young player (the second such event in the Premiership this season after Lee Cattermole also burst into tears after the final whistle for Middlesbro).
