Martin McIntosh is a professional footballer currently playing for Huddersfield Town in Football League One.
He was born in Scotland, but he started his football career as a junior at Tottenham Hotspur, before returning up north to St Mirren, but only played 4 games in 3 years.
After moving to other clubs around Scotland including SPL side Hibernian, he moved to Rotherham United and enjoyed a four-year stint, where by the end of his spell he was made club captain.
After Rotherham got relegated in 2005, McIntosh moved to Huddersfield, where he tried to establish a central defender slot aginst Nathan Clarke, Tom Clarke and David Mirfin. Unfortunately, with in a month of the start of the season, he had a major injury and didn't play again till around December. He has established himself as a strong character and can score superb headers and bolster the defence as well.
As of August 18, 2006 he was on loan at Football League Two side Grimsby Town, but returned to Huddersfield because of an injury crisis at the club.
In January 2007 he was told by manager Peter Jackson that his contract would not be renewed in the summer and on March 3, 2007 Jackson announced on BBC Radio Leeds that he would never select McIntosh or teammate Mark Hudson again.[1]
