The Meson Cannon is a superweapon from Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception consisting of eight laser turrets.

[edit] Description
The Meson Cannon, built to defend the Aurelian capital, Griswall, consists of a battery of 8 turrets mounted on high towers. Depending on the players actions beforehand, the cannons may be fitted with the M.B.S.R (Meson Beam Stabilizing Regulator), changing the firing pattern to a concentrated beam that does major damage (although the Cannons cannot track anything going faster than 600 miles per-hour). If the player prevents delivery of the M.B.S.R, the Meson Cannon will fire rapid shots of energy. The Meson Cannon is protected by several Anti-Air sites, several YF-23A fighters and tanks. The Atmos Ring, upon which the Meson Cannon is built, completely isolates downtown Griswall from the rest of the city, preventing ground forces from entering. This is also to protect Gaiuss Tower, which is located in Downtown and is the central command of the Democratic Republic of Leasath.

Diego Gaspar Navarro, commanding officer of Leasath forces in Aurelia, used the Gaiuss Tower as his base of command but later fled from the Gaiuss Tower when Gryphus Squadron, led by Gryphus 1, single-handedly destroyed the Meson Cannon and all enemy forces in the area.
