Mike Dillon (musician)

Mike Dillon (aka Mike D) is a percussionist and vibraphonist born in San Antonio, Texas. He is a member of the Seattle-based Critters Buggin and has performed with many musicians, most notably Les Claypool's Frog Brigade and Fancy Band, Hairy Apes BMX, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Stanton Moore, Garage A Trois, Malachy Papers, Ani DiFranco, Marco Benevento, Reed Mathis and New Orlean's musicians Kevin O'Day, Johnny Vidacovich and James Singleton. Dillon also performed in the late 80's/early 90's with local Dallas and Denton favorites Ten Hands and in the mid-90's with Dallas/Kansas City-based Billy Goat.
He released his self-titled CD in 2003, and has been featured on CDs by several artists listed above among others. In 2006 he started a funky new project entitled "Mike Dillon's Go-Go Jungle" which includes members of Billy Goat, drummer "Go-Go" Ray Pollard, and bassist, J.J. "Jungle" Richards. Also, contributing to the Go-Go Jungle release Battery Milk is long-time associate, saxophonist Mark Southerland of Malachy Papers.
Dillon tours currently as of March 2007 with Skerik and James Singleton as "The Illuminasty Trio" and then in April 2007 again with the Go-Go Jungle.
Dillon resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
