The 5th annual Miss Earth pageant took place on October 23rd, 2005 in Quezon City, Philippines. A total of 80 candidates from around the globe took part in the event.
Alexandra Braun Waldeck of Venezuela was crowned by Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles as the new Miss Earth. With Alexandra's win, Venezuela became the second country to capture all of Big Four Pageants titles.
