Missing Link is a retrospective sports program that airs on ESPN Classic. The program debuted on March 7, 2007 at 10pm ET and is hosted by popular host of ESPN Radio's The Herd, Colin Cowherd.
The basis of the program is to challenge sports fans to find a link between seemingly disparate athletes and to shrink the world of sports down to a village where everyone seems to be connected. The athletes are connected by a series of links - places, people, and events. Missing Link will examine these startling links and create a connection chain linking athlete to athlete through avenues such as pop culture, politics and of course, sports. However, one link is left out (hint: the missing link) and not revealed until after the commercial break, when the audience has a chance to guess what that missing connection is.
