Municipal Waste is a crossover thrash band from Richmond, Virginia. They are known for their loud, drunk, party atmosphere and rowdy show attendees. Show-goers are known for crowd-surfing with boogie boards and are sometimes entertained by a roadie in a wizard costume.
Municipal Waste played at This Is For You Fest 2005 in Daytona Beach, FL and at Super Sabado Gigante Fest 2 in January of 2006 in the Bay Area of California. Their concerts in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are frequently filled to capacity, due in part to their friendship with local bands Crucial Unit, Caustic Christ, and R.A.M.B.O.
Municipal Waste has been confirmed for the Wacken Open Air in 2007.
