The R-400 Oka (Russian: Р-400 «Ока»; named after Oka River) was a mobile theatre ballistic missile deployed by the Soviet Union near the end of the Cold War. It carried manufacturer's GRAU index 9K714 and was assigned the NATO reporting name SS-23 Spider. The missile had a range of 450 km. The Oka's operational life was short due to the fact that its range exceeded the limits imposed by the INF Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union.
