Rajgangpur is an industrial city and a municipality in Sundargarh district in the northwestern state of Orissa in eastern India. The town hosts several small and medium sized factories. The two big ones being OCL India Ltd and Hari Machines Ltd.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Rajgangpur had a population of 43,912. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Rajgangpur has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 62%. In Rajgangpur, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.Two prominent institutions of higher education are Sarbati Devi womens' college & Dalmia College.

Rajgangpur is home to Orissa Cement Ltd. (OCL) and variour other industries. Near by Rajgangpur M/S LARSEN & TOURBO have a industry area named KANSBAHAL. Popular for the manufacturing of Heavy Machinery Products. Mfg specially for Steel Plant, Paper & pulp, coal Mines etc., Rajgangpur is well conneccted between Sundergarh and Rourkela.
