Richard Martin (born September 1, 1987 in Brighton) is a professional footballer who currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion, currently on loan at Dorchester Town. He is a goalkeeper.
Martin has progressed through the youth ranks at the club and was awarded a professional contract in July 2005. The highly rated 'keeper was at one point a target for Liverpool [1] and also had a trial at Everton [2][3]. He also had a loan spell at Kingstonian.
Martin made a handful of appearances on the substitute bench last season for the Albion, mainly due to Michel Kuipers falling out with then manager Mark McGhee.
