[edit] DYK: Haskell
Thank you for significantly adding to the Charles N. Haskell article. I had nominated the article to be in the did you know section of the Main Page. You may be interested in WikiProject Oklahoma which is a WikiProject geared to improving the Oklahoma-related articles on Wikipedia. You may also be interested in Portal:Oklahoma. I have also added my DYK nomination to the portal's DYK section. -- Ash Lux (talk | contribs) 23:28, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
- Also, just so you know, after you suggest a DYK on the Oklahoma WikiProject page, go to the actual DYK nomination page and add it there as well.--NMajdan•talk 15:49, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images of Oklahoma Governors
The images you have uploaded of Oklahoma governors cannot be tagged as CopyrightFreeUse or GFDL. The images are copyright by the State of Oklahoma unless you can prove otherwise. Please re-tag as fair use images and only use in articles where the images would qualify as fair use or the images will probably be deleted. All fair use images on your User Page need to be removed as this is a copyright violation -Thanks -Nv8200p talk 18:42, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, saw this note about the copyright tags. Would something along the lines of {{ULL.CLS}} be more appropriate, based on the "Publication Rights" section of the Oaklhoma Department of Libraries webpage? -- MrDolomite | Talk 19:32, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Photo Requests
I noticed in the "Images Uploaded" section of your UserPage that you uploaded photos of Oklahoma Governors Dewey F. Bartlett, David Hall, and George Nigh. I have "Photo Requests" pending on all three articles, and was wondering if you would be willing to add photos to those articles. If you do add the photos, please remove the "Photo Request" tags from the article Talk pages. --TommyBoy 16:45, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use imagary
Random image led me to one of the fair use images on your userpage. Wikipedia:Fair use criteria doesn't permit fair use images outside the article space to be displayed inline, so I converted the fair use ones to links. Kevin_b_er 00:22, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Scott Meacham
I noticed that you added a photo of incumbent Scott Meacham to the State Treasurer of Oklahoma article, and was wondering if you could add it to the new article on Meacham that I just created. If you do add the photo, please remove the "Photo Request" Tag from the article's Talk page. --TommyBoy 19:23, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Frank Lucas.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Frank Lucas.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Dan Keating
I noticed in the article you created on Howard Barnett, you stated that his 2006 primary opponent, Dan Keating is not related to former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating. A quick search I conducted on Yahoo confirmed that he is in fact Frank Keating's brother. I have added a source and corrected the article. --TommyBoy 05:23, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Howard Barnett
User:Leuko has challenged your use of a campaign website as a source in the Howard Barnett article. If possible, please cite a source which complies with Wikipedia's reliable sources and NPOV policies. --TommyBoy 21:07, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Roxy.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Roxy.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Chowbok ☠ 03:02, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup on Template:Infobox Congressman
Thank you for reformatting this template's markup to be more intelligible. In the future though, could you please add a descriptive edit summary, especially when your change affects so many lines as to make the diff appear huge? I got a little scared seeing three edits without any description and virtually every line showing as changed. --Dgies 07:10, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Governor Brad Henry image
Hi. Our fair-use policy states that fair-use images, including press photos, can only be used if a free image cannot be created. Since a free image could easily be created of Brad Henry, we can't use a fair-use image of him. Hope this helps. (BTW, please don't edit talk page archives. Start a new topic on the main talk page.) —Chowbok ☠ 22:15, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- I said a free image could be created, not a fair-use one. You could take a photo of the governor yourself and release it under a free license, or write to his office and request that they release a photo under a free license. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for more information on that. —Chowbok ☠ 22:59, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
- Another option would be to see if you can find a public domain image. All federal government photos are public domain (not state photos), so if you can find a photo that was taken of him by a federal employee at some kind of federal function, or meeting with the President or some such, that would also be acceptable. —Chowbok ☠ 23:02, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Oklahoma Supreme Court image
This is a great photo of the Oklahoma Supreme Court but it is so small. According to the license, you took this picture. You wouldn't happen to have a larger version, would you? I don't know of many digital cameras that take photos that small so I am hoping you do.--NMajdan•talk 02:29, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CIA Controversies
I just wanted to say thanks for cleaning up the CIA controversies section on the Central Intelligence Agency page and moving it to a new page. That section needed some cleanup and also bloated the main CIA page, so it's good that someone finally took the time to do so (I was going to...eventually :)). --Rodzilla 01:31, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] United States Congressional Delegations from Oklahoma Territory
Hi! Why did you create a separate United States Congressional Delegations from Oklahoma Territory apart from United States Congressional Delegations from Oklahoma? In the case of other pre-statehood territories, the articles where subsumed together. Only Dakota Territory, Northwest Territory, Orleans Territory, and the Philippines did not become 1-to-1 states. —Markles 02:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Mike Morgan.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mike Morgan.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria.
