[edit] IPA pronunciations
Hello... your contributions are appreciated, but unfortunately the changes you made to Canada required removal once again. The existing pronunciation text is the IPA method, and is generally standardized that way across most articles. Additionally, adding the word "pronunciation" didn't change the on-screen text, but did break the link to the IPA article. Thanks again. --Ckatzchatspy 21:44, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of The emerald Pipe band
A tag has been placed on The emerald Pipe band, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Angus McLellan (Talk) 22:45, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Luton
Thankyou for you contribution to the article Luton. We appreciate that you are trying to improve the article, but after discussing the paragraph, we have decided that it wasn't in the best interests of the article to keep it in. However, we have acknowledged that Luton has a huge Irish based community, and a demographic section has been added. We are also planning to find sources that allow us to expand on this and mabye we shall have a more expanded section on the Irish community in Luton. If you would like to help find the sources allowing us to do this, please consult the page Irish community in Britain and then work from there. If you do find the sources, please post them under the St. Patrick's heading on Talk:Luton.
Thankyou and please continue to edit wikipedia sensibly and productively
