[edit] RE: Beyond Jericho update advice

Just wanted to say thanks for the feedback on how to address the info I've gotten on the fate of Beyond Jericho. Your input was, above all else, given in a positive, professional and above all else *adult* manner. That's how an RFI over Wikipedia policy should be handled, and there are those who could use that as a lesson on how to conduct such affairs. 66.90.151.114 05:58, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome! I appreciate the note, and the BSG information as well. Cheers! --Ckatzchatspy 23:04, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Glad to be of help. Are you planning on using the info in the Pegasus article, or should I bother to add it myself, as it's obviously *not* "fancruft"? Sixty Six 06:37, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for the userpage revert (although it made me look way more impressive than I am ;) ). -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 19:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Ckatz, it was very thoughtful of you to create an edit-count userbox with a comma in response to my moaning. I've checked it out and it works just fine. I think people will appreciate having the choice. Thank you. :-) SlimVirgin (talk) 18:55, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sklocke

Ckatz, I'm for the investigation into user Sklocke's activities. If I can help let me know. He has as you say done some "strange edits" on my user and talk page. I'm more concerned of the vandalism he might be doing to the rest of Wikipedia. I wasn't aware of how to report Sklocke so I'm glad that you have.-BiancaOfHell 20:47, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Solar System interactive template

The new ineractive image looks great -- I especially liked the touch of having the asteroid belt on both sides of Ceres (and likewise for Pluto and the Kuiper Belt, Eris and the Scattered Disc). On the large Solar System template, I moved the image to the top, just under the "Solar System" banner -- I hope without breaking anything. I also changed the margins so that there was less of a gap between the edges of the image and the edges of the box; unfortunately, I wasn't able to make them match exactly. [edit] User edit templates

Hello - I noticed that you created {{Template:User 45 000e/test}} which allows the user to specify a preference of whether to use commas or simply a blank space. I took a look at the code, and managed to replicate it at {{Template:User 1 000e/test}} after a bit of trial and error! I think implementing this feature into all the edit number templates (with the obvious exception of those under 1,000) would be a great idea, and was wondering if there is any talk page that I should achieve consensus on first, or whether I should just be bold and do it straight away? It'd be great if you could reply on my talk page whenever you've got a minute - knowing me, I'll probably forget I ever brought this up here! Thanks,  H4cksaw  (talk) 13:45, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

I thought you might also be interested to know that I've removed the non-existent category that appears at the bottom of your test template on my own test version.  H4cksaw  (talk) 13:58, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the revert

[edit] Re: Heroes

You're welcome, and thank you for the awesome work you do on the articles as well! - fmmarianicolon | Talk 23:25, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Where is this segment on drug dealers you mentioned on my userpage? You may of been reffering to the segment where I mentioned alteria motives and pointed out how suicide bomber who are considered as heroes by many people in the middle eat are trying to get into paradise without following the tenates of the islamic faith. In that they would fail in they would not of died for Allah. I have removed that segment to help keep the other segments up in the future.

I have also removed my rant.

I did this in order to keep the other segments that ARE on there from being lost.

I have also gone over the segment where I ask fr definitions and changed to to asking for referances and established reseach on those areas. Corrupt one 06:41, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I was just tidying up my talk page...

when I realised I never said thank you for the very nice compliment you paid me over getting a GA notice for Solar System. I have to say, the process of getting that article up to code was fairly ardurous, and I really appreciated your help, particularly in the whole "planet vs. dwarf planet" edit war. Serendipodous 08:38, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Flags

Indeed, I used to believe that it was easier just to use them then to have them converted till that essay popped up and I realised I'm not "alone" in my dislike for them, I personally can live with them but they don't format correctly in my opinion, not to mention they could be ambiguous. [edit] Asgard

I still do not see any relevancy, nor do I see how it's an "in-joke", it is a proper question, the Asgard do look very similar and they do have different voices. --Matthew

[edit] Jericho page moves

I'm sorry I didn't understand the rule about leaving the simplest article titles in place for as long as possible. Thanks for doing the reversion work to set them back. - Bevo 15:29, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Planet Earth

Please think:

There are 267 administrative divisions, including nations, dependent areas, other, and miscellaneous entries. Historically, Earth has never had a sovereign government with authority over the entire globe, although a number of nation-states have striven for world domination. Independent sovereign nations claim all of the land surface except for some segments of Antarctica. The United Nations is a worldwide general international organization, but it is primarily an international discussion forum with only limited ability to pass and enforce laws.

1. What is being said? 2. Is it clear? 3. Is there a simpler way to say it?

The fact that this is not "simple" Wikipedia is irrelevant. Language is your tool. You need to be clear.

I concede that the above paragraph does not imply "interplanetary governments". However there is no excuse for this paragraph to remain in its current state.

I have not read the entire "Earth" article -- and if the rest of it reads like this paragraph, do you seriously think anyone would?

[edit] Ceres

I've restored a lot of the reference details that were removed by MatheoDJ, as well as fixing some other changes from the same edits. I'd appreciate it if you could please look over the article to make sure that the information you added is still present. Thanks. --Ckatzchatspy 21:12, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

It is good. Michaelbusch 21:14, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] SG-U

It was actually italics you removed (all articles I've seen still use the italics for some reason, or another, I believe it's because it forces it into plain text), yea.. needs a better title, I restored the lead-in as it just seemed to "stern" (can't think of a word) to me, i.e. it didn't "flow". Matthew 09:43, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm just hoping we get a new ship in this new series (pref. loaded with Asgard tech :-)) Matthew 09:46, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
There's actually four Stargate series, SG-1, Infinity, SGA and now SGU. SG-Inf was only produced by MGM (with DiC), see Stargate Infinity, so third seemed correct to me. Matthew 09:56, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
It's because italics are hard coded into the infobox. Matthew 10:32, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Earth

Thanks for your input at Earth. Sorry about the mix-up - I didn't see your second rewrite until later in the day, well after posting a reworked version of your first rewrite. (I've tweaked the talk page discussion to reflect this.) I'd be happy to help out if you're going to rework the text, but I'll have to withdraw from interacting with Abscissa. I feel that editor has taken a hostile (and I believe unwarranted) approach to the matter, and I'm also not comfortable with the comments he/she has directed toward me. Thanks again. --Ckatzchatspy 08:40, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

No problem. Thank you. — RJH (talk) 17:10, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
