The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale is a Local Government Area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 905 km² in outer southern metropolitan Perth, the capital of Western Australia and lies about 45km South-East of the Perth CBD. The Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale has a population of 11,120.

The Serpentine Road Board was gazetted in December 1894, and in 1913 changed name to Serpentine-Jarrahdale Road Board. On 1 July 1961, it became the Shire Council. In 1977, it acquired Byford from Armadale-Kelmscott Shire.[1]
