- The inner-edge of the CD case reveals a hidden message: "A Fire Inside". This is a lyric from the album's introductory track. 'A Fire Inside' now serves as the unabbreviated form of 'AFI'.[1]
- The song A Single Second features Nick 13 from psychobilly band Tiger Army. He would later go on to perform this song on AFI's I Heard a Voice live DVD.
- This is the first AFI release with Hunter Burgan playing bass guitar.
