Simon James Gillett (born November 6, 1985 in Oxford) is an English footballer, currently on the books of Southampton.
From August 2006, he spent three months on loan to Blackpool. It was with the Fylde Coast club that he scored his first league goal, on September 12 in a 1-1 draw with Chesterfield at Bloomfield Road.[1] The following month, on October 21, he was sent off in the Seasiders' 2-1 win at Crewe Alexandra.[2]
On 23 November, 2006, he moved on loan to Bournemouth until the New Year.[3]
On January 30, 2007, Gillett returned to Blackpool on loan until the end of the 2006-07 season.[4]
