Kaspars Gorkšs (born November 6, 1981 in Riga) is a Latvian football defender currently playing for English club Blackpool. He joined the Seasiders on January 1, 2007[1], from FK Ventspils, with whom he had just won the Virsliga, the top flight in Latvian football.

He made his debut for his country in 2006. On October 11, 2006, in a Euro 2008 qualifier against Northern Ireland, Gorkšs started the second half in place of Māris Smirnovs.[2] On February 6, 2007, he played the full 90 minutes of Latvia's 2-0 defeat by Bulgaria in the annual Cyprus International Tournament.
