Sky News Australia is Australia's only dedicated news channel. The channel is owned by Publishing and Broadcasting Limited, the Seven Media Group, and British Sky Broadcasting, each with a one third stake in the company.
The channel is only available on cable or satellite in Australia on Foxtel, Austar, Optus Television and Neighbourhood Cable.

Presenter line-ups and some programming changed on May 1, 2006 when Sky News Australia relaunched. A new set and graphics package was also unveiled - bringing the presentation of the channel in line with that of Sky UK.

Health News Australia is a program that screens regularly on Sky News Australia. It is Australia's only weekly report on the latest health news and breakthroughs. It collects stories from National Nine News, A Current Affair, Seven News, and Today Tonight, collating them into a news bulletin style presentation.

Including sports segments in weekday and weekend news bulletins Craig Norenbergs, Paul Gregg, Chris Roe or James Bracey other Sports presenters include Luke Doherty and Melanie McLaughlin

Agenda features interviews and news about Australian politics. It airs on Mondays at 4.15pm AEST and is Hosted by Political Editor David Speers

Sky News New Zealand is very similar to Sky News Australia, and appears on Sky Television. NZ once received "Sky News" (UK), then "Sky News Australia", then "Sky News Australia New Zealand". Each progression has seen the stories become more locally relevant.

With the roll-out of Foxtel Digital and Austar Digital, Sky News Australia launched the Sky News Active interactive news service. The service offers a choice of eight news screens, which vary depending on the days news or events. Some common choices of screens include:
