[edit] Welcome aboard
Hello SpokaneWilly,
Welcome to Wikipedia. I think you'll find it fantastic. But there is a lot going on, and it can be a bit wild.
Try reading the tutorial, have a play in the sandbox to learn How to edit a page, or visit new users page.
The most important things are The Five Pillars, but correct naming and good style are nice, too!
If you have questions you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page (just click the (t) after my name).

[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello SpokaneWilly, welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips:
- Take a look at the Simplified Ruleset.
- Read the Tutorial, How to edit a page and the Manual of Style.
- Find out how to revert, move and merge pages.
- Sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Add yourself to the New user log and a regional notice board
- Ask questions at the Village pump or Help desk.
- Use the Show preview button
- Provide an Edit summary
- Add the correct image copyright tag to any images you upload
- Create a User page
- Be bold
- Ignore all rules
If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.
If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 15:14, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:SpokaneShockLogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:SpokaneShockLogo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:04, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Spokane, Washington neighborhoods article
I saw your message saying the article was far too large and stopped reading after the first line. Looks like we were thinking the same thing. I moved the neighborhoods section off the Spokane article and onto it's own. Sorry about that. --Bobblehead 01:40, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Spokane
Hi there. I went one better--I just went ahead and cleaned up the article. I'm sure you know what I meant, but it was words and phrases like: "teeming", "thriving", "boasts", "dramatic", "jewel of", and "in heart of" (I especially dislike that one in encyclopedia articles). Oh and the second-person instruction to "check out" whatever it was. If that kind of thing starts to creep in again (and it probably will--you seem to have some enthusiastic Spokane-boosters), I can certainly leave a note on the article's talk page. Anyway, I hope you think my edits improve the article. Oh, and in the interests of paring things down, you might want to look at the list of notable residents and perhaps cut their descriptions to the briefest explanation, since most of them have their own links, which the curious can follow. Happy editing! Katr67 07:20, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Eastern Washington Wikiproject
Thanks for the message about the wikiproject. I might be living in Seattle now, but I grew up in Spokane. Been a number of years since then, but I still visit several times a year to visit family. --Bobblehead 05:42, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Likewise, thanks for the invitation. I've only spent a few hours in Spokane, but I'm even so interested in having a good article about the city and its environs. I won't add my name to the project, I'm over extended already so I can't make real improvements. But feel free to let me know if I can be of any specific help, either as an editor or an admin. Thanks for organizing this project. Cheers, -Will Beback 06:41, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

ah, wikipedia is very large and scary and confusing at first! --Alexandermiller 21:47, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Taiwan is not recognized by the United Nations as a nation, would you argue that it's not then? Alexandermiller 00:40, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] When you get back from WikiBreak..
I created an article on Sacred Heart Medical Center (Sacred Heart Medical Center (Spokane)). Thought you might be interested in taking a look or expanding it.
P.S.: I've seen 3 other age 14-16 editors on Wikipedia from Spokane, including me - what a coincidence, must be in the water, huh? --Wooty Woot? contribs 21:36, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Orchestra Right Records
You had your chance to present your reasoning against deletion while it was up for discussion. You did not take the opportunity to do so. Other editors agreed that it was not a notable subject. If you feel that it was deleted unfairly, you can request a review at Wikipedia:Deletion review. ... discospinster talk 17:15, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:SpokaneINDIANSLogo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:SpokaneINDIANSLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
