Lyon (English Lyons) is a city in the south-east of France 150kms from the Italian border to the east. It is a city with a population of about 500,000. In Ancient history, the name of Lyon was Lugdunum. Someone who lives in Lyon is called a "Lyonnais"(m) or a "Lyonnaise"(f) in french Nowadays it is the second largest agglomeration in France. Paris is the largest. Marseille is number 3.
