Túróc (-Hungarian, in Latin: Thurotzium, comitatus Thurociensis, in German: Turz, in Slovak: Turiec) is the name of a historic administrative county (comitatus) of the Kingdom of Hungary. Its territory is presently in north-western Slovakia, where it is only an informal designation of the corresponding territory.

Túróc county shared borders with the Hungarian counties Nyitra (Nitra), Trencsén (Trenčín), Árva (Orava), Liptó (Liptov), Zólyom (Zvolen) and Bars (Tekov). Situated between the Malá Fatra and Veľká Fatra Mountains. The river Turiec flowed through the county. Its area was 1123 km² around 1910.

The capitals of Túróc county were the Sklabiňa Castle and Martin; from 1772 only Martin was the capital.

Túróc county as a Hungarian comitatus arose before the 15th century. In 1918 (confirmed by the Treaty of Trianon 1920), Túróc county adopted its Slovak name Turiec and became part of the newly formed Czechoslovakia. In 1922 the old counties were abolished and Turiec became only an informal historical and geographical region. The territory is now part of Slovakia.

In the early 20th century, the subdivisions of Turóc/Turiec county were:
- Lower Turiec - its center was Martin and the subregion corresponds to the present-day District of Martin
- Upper Turiec - its center was Turčianske Teplice and the subregion corresponds to the present-day District of Turčianske Teplice
