Can we make this a main article that summarises and refers to essentially all the other articles within this category. Thanks AndrewRT(Talk) 14:18, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Definitely the thing thing to do, someone just needs to do it. KazakhPol 00:14, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge with List of Terrorist Incidents
Could that page be merged with this one to provide more comprehensive coverage Ms medusa 23:10, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, that's a good idea. Please remember to sign your posts with four tildes (~). KazakhPol 18:24, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry about that - my computer has decided to go all american on me so instead of a tilde I get a | - but now I have one to copy and paste :) Ms medusa 23:10, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I concur, but the incidents page should be merged with this one, this title is more encyclopedic, and a list of incidents should be part of this Aaliyah Stevens 14:38, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Intended additions
I intend to add to this article to give it more meat, and balance, with the following heading, with the articles I intend to use after:

'Conviction Rate'
Commentators claims that the conviction rate is very low, and that most convictions ended up being for unrelated issues, nothing to do with terrorism. http://www.irr.org.uk/2005/march/ha000012.html http://www.irr.org.uk/2005/march/ha000012.html http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/paul_donovan/2006/08/post_285.html

- Thanks for your work on this. The article "Terrorism in the United Kingdom" should be primarily about the history of actual terrorist incidents and conspiracies and secondly about anti-terrorism laws, and criticism thereof. What you are referring to as criticism is not criticism of terrorism as such but criticism of anti-terrorism laws, and some of this may be better included elsewhere, with just a short reference here and a {{main}} template reference. AndrewRT(Talk) 18:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- No... it wouldnt. This is exactly the right place for such content, unless you are suggesting creating a page on Counter-terrorism in the United Kingdom. 'Terrorism' is a subject that encompasses counter-terrorism, anti-terrorism, legislation on free speech and security, et cetera. KazakhPol 23:12, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Misc
About how to organize the whole (big) subject, the title "Terrorism in the United Kingdom" is ambiguous. I presume it means terrorism against the British, but it could also refer to terrorism against others by terrorists based in the UK; in the latter group are the whole Londonistan cast who are wanted on terrorism charges in other places but who still operate freely under official British protection. The UK is the most terrorist-friendly nation in Europe, if not the whole world.
Seriously, if the writers here get sidelined by fatwas from Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the Guardian, the article will never get anywhere.
